Conclusion In conclusion, trees are on the job twenty four hours every day, working for all of us, to improve our environment and quality of life. It is a fact accepted by everyone that there are lots of specific details that make the world continue being a convenient place to live in. In ecologic system, all living things complete each other as they perform their natural responsibilities. That is, even a mouse, although it seems to be detrimental, has some duties in the ecologic system. It can be thought that all things, living or non-living, from a caterpillar to the sun, work for human beings. One example of these is trees which are so important that it is a wonder whether there is something else that can do what a tree can do. Let us ask ourselves; whenever we imagine a holiday or even heaven, do not we think about an area with lots of trees on it? Lets study trees and see how they help us. Most trees in cities or communities are planted to provide beauty and shade. These are two excellent reasons for their use. However, there are also many other benefits of trees which can be grouped as environmental benefits, benefits pertaining to health, social benefits, and economic benefits. The first benefit of trees is connected with environment. The importance of living in a natural and less artificial environment is accepted by all people and everybody wants such an environment. If the environment you live in is more natural, it is likely for you to live much healthier. That is why we see people living in rural areas are stronger, happier, and healthier. In fact, all these are based on how woody the environment is. Therefore, we can say, the woodier the area is, the greater benefits we can get. Trees alter the environment in which we live by improving air quality, modera-ting climate, conserving water and reducing soil erosion, and harboring wildlife.(1) Air quality can be improved through the use of trees. Leaves filter the air we breathe by removing dust and other pollutants from the atmosphere.(1) Tree foliage captures and removes a wide range of smog-producing compounds such as ozone, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and airborne ammonia and gives off oxygen.(2) Particles like sulphur dioxides and heavy metals are trapped on leaf surfaces and thus filtered out of the air.(4) Trees remove CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and return oxygen back to the atmosphere as a byproduct. About half of the greenhouse effect (or global warming) is caused by CO2. Trees act as a carbon silk by removing the carbon and storing it in their trunks, branches, leaves, and roots.(3) Therefore, trees can be thought of as CO2 bank accounts.(4) CO2 is absorbed by leaves to form carbohydrates that are used in the plants structure and.......
